The heat pipe collector uses advanced heat pipe technology for heating. The selective absorber coating on the inner vacuum tubes absorbs solar energy and converts it into thermal energy, transferring it to the heat pipe via aluminum fins. The liquid inside the heat pipe vaporizes, rises to the top condenser, and transfers heat through a heat exchanger before returning as liquid to the base.
